Track Light Fixtures

!±8± Track Light Fixtures

Many people consider the selection and installation of track light fixtures a challenge. This is so when you don't have the technical knowledge and you are new to how an electrical system works. During the installation, the fixtures are attached to tracks and this is where the difficulty arises since some manufacturers do not make standard systems. There are three main standards that need to be adhered to i.e. the Juno, the Lightolier and the Halo. With these in mind one should not find it difficult to fit the matching devices to the fixture from end to end.

If you find some track light fixtures that are not compatible with the above standards, beware of the store chain that sold it to you. You could be dealing with a fake product, a product that is void of the quality produced by this kind of illumination. Whether you do the installation yourself or you hire a professional one thing should be clear, that they should fit!

I wish at this point to give you some tips to consider while installing track light fixtures:

1) To create a perfect layout, use the connectors and the track lengths as they are intended.

2) When doing the installation you can either use a normal junction box with a power supply or you can pull a regular power cord to the outlet.

3) While you may be able to do 1 and 2 yourself, considering a professional electrician to take care of the wiring could be a wise idea.

4) There are two types of bulbs that will accompany your track illumination system depending on the diameter and the brightness required i.e. flood lights and spot lights. You can thus illuminate large areas and small specific locations by use of different combination of spots and floods.

All said and done, the end result will be dependent on your choice of the light fixtures and the type of the bulbs that you use.
